Knots

Palomar Knot

The palomar knot is one of the best knots to use in many applications. It is easy to tie and works well with all line types. The video below will show you how to tie it step by step.

Improved Clinch Knot

The improved clinch knot is another easy knot to tie. It can be used on monofilament, fluorocarbon and braided lines. I find that it can sometimes slip on braided or super lines so I only use it on fluoro or mono. I prefer to use the Palomar knot on braid.

Blood Knot

The blood knot is s simple knot for tying two lengths of line together. It works best when the two lines are similar diameters and the same kind of line. There are better knots for tying monofilament and fluorocarbon leaders to braid.

Uni-Knot

The uni-knot is one of the best knots for tying a mono or flouro leader to a braided line. I normally use this knot or the RP knot for this purpose.

RP Knot

The RP knot is a great knot for tying mono or fluorocarbon to braid or superlines (spectra). I like it especially because the knot is smaller and thinner than the double uni knot. It passes through your rod guides smoother. The Albright knot is essentially the same as the RP knot.

Perfection Loop

The perfection loop is a fairly easy knot to  tie when you want an end loop on your line.

Dropper Loop Knot

The dropper loop knot is used when you want to tie a loop in the center of a line. Not used that often in bass fishing but good to know.
