Tubes

Tubes

While tubes are probably the number one way to catch smallmouth bass, they can be used to catch smallmouth, largemouth and spotted bass as well.

Tubes come in various lengths usually between two inches and as long as five inches. The most common size is 3 1/2 inch.

Tubes are usually rigged on a standard tube head which come in sizes from 1/8 oz to over 1 ounce. They can be rigged Texas style using a specially designed tube hook.

There are a number of ways to fish a tube. The most common are dragging, hopping or snapping it off the bottom.
