Spy Baits

Spy Baits

A spybait, sometimes called a spin bait, is a relatively small and narrow bait that resembles a small minnow type bait. They have small propellers in the front and rear. Spybaits are designed to sink. They work best in clear water. They can be fished at specific depths which are controlled by the sink rate and the speed the reel handle is turned.

Fisherman many times will turn to a spybait when bass cannot be caught on crankbaits or other moving lures. They have a slow irresistible roll in their movement as the blades cause a vibration in the water which attracts bass to them.
