The Ned Rig

A Ned Rig is a small mushroom type jig head with an attached small stick bait. Usually the small hook is exposed. Sometimes the hook will contain a weed guard.

In most cases the small 2-4 inch bait will be one that is designed to float. This causes the bait to stand straight up as it's anchored to the bottom by the mini jig head.

The Ned Rig is known for catching numbers of fish. It is also many experienced bass fisherman's 'go to bait' when the fishing is really tough. While it can certainly catch numbers of bass, it can also catch the big ones too!
